News Flash # 2 - FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT!
In celebration of our 20th anniversary of the Lively Letters, we are
presenting FREE Reading with TLC seminars across the nation this year! These
free seminars may also include free ASHA CEUs for any attending SLPs.
How do you qualify for the free professional development? There are
several options available to you!
SCHEDULE A FREE ON-SITE SEMINAR NEAR YOU! Gather a group of 100 or more
professionals for a FREE Reading with TLC seminar presented at your school or
facility. Reading with TLC trainers will come to you and present the
seminar without charging any seminar fees at all, whether or not your
organization chooses to charge attendees a registration fee. Some organizations are
using this offer as an opportunity to raise funds, while others are simply
interested in offering their staff or organization members the free training
they need to improve students' reading/spelling skills, charging no
registration fees to those attending.
APPLY FOR A TLC SCHOLARSHIP! These scholarships are meant to eliminate or
reduce seminar fees for all Reading with TLC - Parts 1 and 2 seminars that
are hosted by TLC. They are available to a limited number of applicants
per seminar, and are awarded on a first come / first served basis, so it is
important to apply as soon as possible. There are three types of
scholarships available:

TLC Leadership Scholarships. We currently offer full scholarships (waiving all seminar fees) for those in supervisory/leadership positions, including administrators, literacy coaches, reading specialists, curriculum directors, clinic supervisors, etc. | |

TLC Travel Scholarships. To offset travel expenses incurred, we are offering full scholarships (waiving all seminar fees) for those who live outside New England and attend a Reading with TLC - Parts 1 and 2 seminar being presented in New England. | |

TLC Student Scholarships (This one does not completely waive the seminar fee, but it does reduce it to only $50, which is a $200 savings!) This scholarship is available to full-time students only. |
All of the above offers for free professional development refer to waived or reduced seminar fees, and do not include offers of free materials. Although no purchase is necessary to attend a Reading with TLC seminar, those planning to implement the programs will need to purchase the basic materials (Lively Letters boxed cards and manual and Sight Words You Can See). These materials will be available for purchase at the seminar, or may be purchased at a discounted rate when registering for the seminar/scholarships.
